Ok...today my VERY tired little girl got out of taking a nap. How you say???..well, I laid her in her crib, kissed her cheeks and told her good night (the regular routine). Then I closed the door and walked downstairs. I could hear her talking to herself, again, her usual routine. Then the phone rings, I answer it and go to the front room couch (for some quiet, of course) Then She comes bounding down the stairs, quite proud of herself. I took her back upstairs, laid her down and watched outside the door...You guessed it, she figured out how to climb OUT of the crib! 3kids, and she's the first to figure it out:(
CRAP!!!!! I think it's going to be a long night!

Shoot. Too bad for you. My youngest did the same thing and from then on I could never lay him down for a nap. :( He would get up and either come downstairs, OR trash his room. I layed with him, but as much as I would like to, I just don't have time for a daily 2 hour nap. He will fall asleep in the car if I am running errands around that time, but other than that, he won't nap. I hope you have better luck and can find a way to out smart her. :)
ReplyDeleteCrap, I feel for you! That is one thing my two older kids never figured out as well. I am sure Keira will be the one to out smart them though. I am not looking forward to that day. It is so nice to be able to just lay her down and walk out not having to worry about her escaping! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! My ONE year old just figured that out too! Luckily she has been staying in bed at night...for now! Isn't being a mom the best?! :)
