Do you ever stop to think about the little things that make you smile?? Today I got a box down from the garage and unpacked it in the China Hutch (that was a hand-me-down from my in-laws) In the box was this beautiful China. It was my grandmothers on my dads side. I never really got to know my moms mom as she died when I was 8 and she lived in England. However, my dad's mom I knew very well.
I think i'm like her in some ways, and even though religiously we were not the same, she had a fun spirit!! Anyway, I'm so glad that she left these to me..she passed away when we were in dental school and these have been in a box for quite some time. I think they are simple and pretty (and if you know me, you know my LOVE for dishes and kitchen stuff). Anyway..I've walked past these SEVERAL time today and they just make me smile and think of her. I wish my kids would have been able to meet her here on Earth, but I'm excited for the person they will get to meet later!
oh thats really sweet kay. I got a blanket and some jewlry of hers that we still have. anyway, looks pretty I didnt realize it was as pretty as it is. Also, you do have a weird fettish for weird dishes..haha
