ok--for all of you runners out there, don't laugh! But for all of you NON-runners (like me), read on... Today was the Make-A-Wish 5k. Some girls in my ward put together a team and my sister Janine and I joined. Now if you know me at all, you know that I run for less than a minute and have to stop because I have a side ache(yes, I know that is pathetic!) Anyway, it has been a New Years goal of mine to run (completely, without stopping) a 5k, and today I did it! My sister and I were thinking that we could probably run 2 miles and run/walk the rest, but we both ran the entire thing in 32min.!!! Anyway, we were excited! oh, and did I mention that it rained the entire race! Next up....(not too soon, of course)..10kP.S...Thank-you to Sarene that watched my kids while Matt was at Little league try-outs so I could run the race!!

ReplyDeleteAwesome, you ran the entire time! I don't mind running in the rain, it always seemed to help me during those track races. Great job, sounds like you had a fun time!
ReplyDelete32 min!!!! That is amazing. You are seriously my hero. One day I am going to get out there and run but there is no way i will be able to do it in 32 min. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHow cool are you?! It's so much more fun when you have someone to do stuff like that with! My friend Mel got to me run a 5K with her a couple of years ago and it was so much fun! Great job! (Oh, and it was fun seeing you at the mall the other night!)
