Sunday morning I woke up with contractions. I took a shower and we called grandpa to come watch the kids. I'm 35wks today, and that's still a little early, so we hoped that the contractions would stop. After several hours, 2 shots of Terbutaline and some Procardia, they weren't stopping! So they admitted me, gave me fluids and decided to try one last thing...Deladid. It's a pain medicine and the hope is that it calms me and the baby down, stopping the progression, or the baby relaxes enough to engage his head and start the process. Well, I'm a light weight at medicine..and it knocked me out!! I couldn't even open my eyes because the room was spinning so much! After about 2 hrs. I was still barely dialated to a 2, and my contractions went from 3-5min. to 7-9min. So they sent me home! I was in bad shape! Matt had to get me dressed to leave the hospital because I was so dizzy! Then later I had a horrible headache. They compared my dosage to a 6pk of beer...if that is truly what it feels like to be drunk, then I don;t understand why people do it! Anyway, I went in for monitoring on Tuesday and was told to keep drinking a gallon of water and lay down!! At least for the rest of this week. If we can get to 36wks then that would be better! So here I am...35.3wks with super random contractions, feeling like a ticking time bomb! I just want this little guy to be healthy and be able to come home from the hospital with me! Cross your fingers.....(my last baby came at 35.3wks..so I'm hours away from beating that record!)
We'll keep you in our prayers! Ay ya! I get so nervous reading these! Take care and good luck with all that you're having to do. I can't imagine that it's even remotely easy to sit and drink ALL DAY being that pregnant with your other little ones!
