Matt and I were able to go away for the weekend with some friends (and NO kids)! We got off the plane, got our rental car, and drove down memory lane...Literally! The Shipp's were good sports to let us drive by the dental school, and a few of our favorite hot spots!

The next morning we got up and went for a jog before heading out to Alcatraz.
All the years we lived there we could never afford to do the tour, so here we go!!
It was so interesting to see and hear some of the history there. We did the audio tour and some of the old inmates spoke on it.
Matt is in here...it's "the hole". Solitary confinement..Dark!
After our tour, we went to the Giants Game.. Matt was SOO in his element!
We got a few pics, had some yummy food and watched the Giants get beat :(
The weather was so nice!! We needed jeans and jackets! In JULY!!!
The next morning we got up and rented bikes to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. (which I have now decided that I am NO bike rider!) I did make it the whole way...just kinda slow!
It was super foggy that morning, you could barely see the top half of the bridge. We did our signature "kissing in San Fran" pose!!
It was crazy to be so high up!!
It was fun,
and like I said, I was no "super rider " so I was proud of myself. There's a couple big hills you have to go UP to get to the bridge, and I didn;t figure out my gears until the last half of the way down!
Then we went to Pier 39 and had crepes and walked around.
The morning before we left, we had to get a token "Lombard St." pose!
Then it was back to life at home. It was a fun weekend away. We had a blast getting to know the Shipps better abd showing them around our Favorite city! Thanks for a fun time guys!!
